    * 1st Annual North Country Microenterprise Showcase A "Success"  *

The Microenterprise Showcase provided a unique opportunity for the Berlin area community to become better acquainted with the wide range of businesses in the North Country. Attendees found they don’t have to cross state borders – or even town lines – for certain goods or services, as area MicroCredit-NH member businesses can meet many of their needs.

Valley Ventures, MicroCredit-NH’s Berlin Business Group, organized this event to provide a low-cost solution for MicroCredit-NH members to promote their products or services, network, and make new connections. Citizens Bank and MicroCredit-NH sponsored the event.

Our inspections meet or exceed the nationally accepted ASHI standard of practice and code of ethics. Our comprehensive inspections include inspection of all major structural components, electrical, plumbing, heating, kitchen and bath installations, and the grounds.

The average inspection requires 3 to 4 hours to complete. The client receives an extensive 35 page, bound report with an individualized summary and pictures.

 Lise Grondin-Danault   * Co-Chair Person * - Osmosis

Osmosis provides a safe, non-invasive, comfortable and relaxing way to rid the body of built-up toxins through the use of the ionCleanse footbath detoxification system. It is intended to support herbal, homeopathic, and vitamin detoxification protocols and procedures.

Why Use Osmosis?
Your body is attacked on a daily basis by the effects of pollution, stress, poor nutrition, sleep deprivation, to name just a few. This creates a situation of imbalance in your system, one in which free radicals do damage over time. (Simply put, free radicals are excess amounts of negatively or positively charged ions that are looking for "something" to complete them. Some are of normal metabolic processes, but many are harmful.)
Cleansing the tissues and organs in your body gives them the opportunity to heal and to rest from the assault that daily living brings. It also brings your body's ph levels to normal range--7 ph.

What Can I Expect During a Session?
Millions of neutralizing ions will be introduced to your body through this therapeutic, balancing footbath. After being absorbed, the ions get to work drawing toxic wastes back out into the water. The color of the water at the end of the 20 or 30 minute session indicates which areas were specifically targeted and cleansed.

*Anyone with pacemakers, transplants, ostomies and/or are on certain types of medications, are pregnant or lactating, should not use ionCleanse.

Gateway Gallery & Gifts offers the owner's award winning photography and offers a personalized approach to framing customer art and mementos. In offering custom framing the gallery firmly believes that the best combination is archival framing and a customer educated to know quality materials and workmanship. The gift side, of the Gateway Gallery & Gifts, offers an eclectic mix of hand crafted and antique items. From local ephemera to hand crafted jewelry.

Gifts from mother and grandmother set my course early on. My grandmother patiently let a three-year old look through the viewfinder of her box camera and mother loved walks in the woods taking the time to examine and name whatever we found. The camera never lost its magic and those little walks became longer hikes and backpacks. Although father never envisioned his children in the art world (especially not in the sixties), he did give me my first “real” camera. As so these two interests were quietly and carefully nurtured. Encouraged and critiqued by a cousin who taught photography at an art school, picking brains and taking classes, learning rules and breaking the same until opportunity knocked in 1973. That year put me to the test as a member of a photography department, where more people generously shared their knowledge. Since then photography has truly become a passion and a way of connecting the art of the photograph with the love of the natural world. To see the universe in a tiny flower, to wonder at the great beauty of the changing landscape or to distill a whole into just apiece never loses its wonder. As one of my instructors said “there is always something out there taking of the light and giving back its best. Your job is to find it.”
